- What is an escape room anyways?
Escape rooms are interactive experiences that place you and your team squarely in an adventure! You'll have to solve puzzles, find clues, and hopefully find your way out before the time limit expires.
At SideQuests, we pride ourselves on presenting an experience that combines storytelling with immersive rooms to give you an amazing experience you won't soon forget!
- Can I play solo?
Our full-length experiences require a minimum team size of 2 (for Expedition & Uncle) and 3 for Abduction. Sorry! However, our Chrononaut experience CAN be played solo if you're looking for a solo adventure!
- Is there a minimum age?
All groups must have at least one responsible adult (18+) present in the room. Children under 3 are free, although please note that our rooms are built and designed for players aged 12 and up. Players under the age of 18 will also need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver for them.
You can find our waiver online too!
- Will I be grouped with strangers if our group doesn't fill the room?
Nope! Our bookings are private by default, so you'll never be grouped with strangers. So long as you don't go below the minimum player count or over the maximum capacity, it's all good!
- How can I book one of these fabulous adventures?
- Do you do private events / corporate events / large group bookings?
Yes! Give us a call at 780 705 1731 or e-mail and we'll be happy to help you plan your event!
- Are your adventures wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, due to our location in a historical building, we are unable to provide accessibility for wheelchairs. Sorry! :(
- Is it scary? What if I can't solve any puzzles?
None of our rooms contain any scary content (we're strictly PG, folks). Our #1 goal is that all of our visitors have a fantastic time - so we have an unlimited hint system. You can always ask for help!
- What's all this score business? Season 1? Season 2?
We work on a points-based system rather than strictly by completion time. Basically, you'll get points for three puzzles during the adventure - one in the middle-ish and two close to the end. Those points are based on the time left on the clock when you solve said puzzle. This is a revamp of our old scoring system, so anyone on our old leaderboards is now immortalized under "Season 1" and going forwards we'll be using "Season 2" boards.
